Dave was born on April 26, 1945 and raised in Springfield, Vermont, the son of Helen (Tripp) and Merle Prevost. He married Judith Armstrong Bredahl on August 2, 1975. They had a wonderful thirty-five years together full of family, fun, and lots of love before Judy's death in August, 2010.
Dave worked as a mechanic early in his career and eventually ran his own business. He loved his family and friends - always quick to offer help. Dave was generous with his time and laughter. He liked a good story; he was both a great storyteller and a great audience.
Dave is survived by children, Ellen Prevost Johnson and husband Dave and Todd Prevost and wife Kelly; stepchildren, Tom Bredahl and wife Elizabeth, Steve Bredahl and wife Andrea, Rob Bredahl and wife Kim, and Deborah Bredahl; and his sisters, Betty Seaborn and Cheryl Prevost. Dave will also be greatly missed by his 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
Dave is predeceased by his wife, Judy; sisters, Joyce Eng and Linda Musgrove; and parents, Merle and Helen Prevost.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains, NJ.
Arrangements by Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 4:00-6:30pm followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30pm.

I was married to David in 1964. Our Son Todd as born in 1966. Our union did not last bu 8 yrs, but our friendship continued on throughout our lives. David was a good man, great sense of humor and compassionate. Our Son Todd and his wife Kelly, blessed us with 5 wonderful grandchildren, who in turn gave us 5 great grandchildren! Our family will miss David, we have wonderful memories to always remind us of him. My condolences to David and Judy's daughter Ellen and her family, and the Bredahl family. Fond memories of Wednesday night dinners with Dave always laughing and telling stories. Many friendly poker games in Dave´s man cave. Dave and I became brothers by choice. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Love Harry
