On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Dale Charles Prevost joined our Lord and Savior to be with his family in Heaven. He was born to Verna and Charles Henry Prevost of Beaumont, Texas, in 1954. Dale was a gentle man and loved everyone. He enjoyed studying the Bible in his later years and would quote scripture to those who were in need of hearing "the word". Dale also enjoyed many hands-on hobbies. He always liked working on cars and rebuilding engines when he was younger. As he aged, he began to paint landscapes, people, objects, and one time even rocks. Dale would paint Bible verses, sweet sayings, and even pictures of nature on the rocks and give them to friends and family and always had a story to go with them.
Growing up in Beaumont he attended South Park High School graduating in 1974. Not long after, in 1975, Dale married his high school sweetheart, Beth D'Lane Shaver. He and Beth had three children, Baby Chad, Coby Dale and Cory Lee. As time went on the family moved to Mauriceville, Texas. They lived there until their children grew up and left home. During most of this time Dale was employed by ExxonMobil until he retired. After retirement Dale moved to Greenville to be near his son and his family for several years.
As any loving and dedicated father, Dale cared deeply for his family. He loved his children and worked hard to provide for the family, attended many sports events, as well as school functions, and most of all just spending time at home completed their time together.
Dale is survived by his brother, Greg Prevost and his wife, Paula; sons, Coby Dale Prevost and his wife, Melissa, and Cory Lee Prevost and his wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Seth Prevost, Olivia Prevost, Aidan Prevost Reeves, Gavin Prevost, Johnathon Prevost, Phoebe Prevost, and Trudy Prevost.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Henry Prevost; faithful mother, Verna Prevost; loving wife of forty-three years, Beth Prevost; first child, Baby Chad Prevost; eldest brother, Gerry W. Prevost; and his nephew, Charles E. Prevost.
As our lives continue, we will always remember Dale Charles Prevost and what an imprint he left on our family as well as his friends. Some of us knew him a very long time and others knew him just a short time, but we always recognized him as good man and enjoyed being with him. Dale was a brother, brother-in-law, father, uncle, grandfather, and a forever best friend. He will always remain a special part of our lives.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
A gathering of Mr. Prevost's family and friends will begin 2:00 p.m. with his funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
