Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Gramps-Pawpaw, Friend, Farmer and Good Ole Boy. The titles of
a man also known as David Ernest Price. David passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 in Smyer,
Texas at the age of 72. David was born June 9, 1951 in Levelland Texas to Billy and Helen
Price.

On July 14, 1973 he married the love of his life, Kathy Born. They recently celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary. Together they had two sons Davey and Dustin both of Smyer. David was
a lover of the land some would say, so farming came easy to him. A career he enjoyed in the
Smyer - Lubbock area for more than 50 years. David will always be remembered as a
wonderful friend and family man. Especially when good food and a cold beer were nearby. A
true farmer, always concerned about the rain and whether it was coming in soon or too late and
just how much but never enough.

David is preceded in death by his father Billy Owen Price. He is survived by his mother Helen
June Price, sister Carolyn and her husband Ray Harris, brothers Charlie and Paul Price along
with their wives Karen and Judith. His beloved wife Kathy Price. Also his son Davey, wife Cristy
and their children Rebecca and Ramon Lopez, Jackson Armstrong, Ryder and Harley Price.
Another son Dustin, his wife Jennifer along with their children Tanner and Casen Price and
Tayler Newsom.

A celebration of life will occur on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Smyer First Baptist
Church.
