David Prysock Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home - Tidewater Drive Chapel on Feb. 5, 2026.
David Gerald Prysock, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 30, 2026.

He was born on September 11, 1963, in Romney, West Virginia. David was preceded in death by his parents, David T. Prysock and Sandra K. Matthews, and his sister, Kim Prysock.

David is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Karen Prysock; his sisters, Rhonda Martin and Allison Reilly; his brother, Adam Prysock; his sons, Brandon Prysock and Mike Burris. He also leaves behind his daughters-in-law, Caitlin Prysock and Kendall Burris, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Jeremiah Burris, Avery Prysock, and Hailey Burris, who were the light of his life and brought him endless pride and joy. David also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and will forever cherish their memories with him.

David spent his entire career in sales, a profession that perfectly matched his outgoing nature, quick wit, and ability to connect with anyone he met. He had a natural gift for conversation and could make friends wherever he went. Known for his humor and storytelling, David had a way of bringing laughter into everyday moments and making people feel at ease in his presence.

Above all else, David was deeply devoted to his family. He loved fiercely, showed up when it mattered, and took great pride in those he loved. He was also an avid animal lover and treated his pets as members of the family, giving them the same care and affection he gave to everyone close to him.

David will be remembered for his warmth, humor, loyalty, and the lasting impression he left on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Feb 14, 2026 at Wycliffe Presbyterian Church. 1145 N Great Neck Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.
