David Gary Qualmann

David Gary Qualmann, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 26, 2024, in Gaylord, MI, at the age of 82. He was born on January 5, 1942, in Pontiac, MI, the son of Elmer and Edna (Dawson) Qualmann.
David proudly served his country as a member of the Army from 1962 to 1964, spending much of his tour in Germany. After returning from military service, David found his lifelong love, Bernadine Carlson, and they married on July 27, 1974, marking the beginning of a beautiful partnership that would last 50 years.
David and Bernadine were blessed with children who brought them immense pride: Larry (Emily) Qualmann of Montana, Debra (Craig) Vincent of Trenary, MI, and Jeff (Sandy) Qualmann of Lewiston, MI. David's family extended beyond his immediate relatives to include his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Elmer and Edna, his in-laws, Richard and Angela Carlson, and his loving daughter, Stacy (Jake) Choquette.
Cremation has taken place and per David's request, there will be no services.
The Qualmann family would like to express their profound gratitude to the employees at Medilodge in Gaylord for the excellent and compassionate care given to David over the last 1 ½ years.
