David R. Jacak

David R. Jacak, 71, of Campbellsport, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

David Jacak, born on October 7, 1953, in Fond du Lac, was the son of the late Roger Sr. and Carol (née Theusch) Jacak. From the moment he could turn a wrench, he was hooked—his love for all things automotive was set in motion early, and he never hit the brakes. Though he spent time behind the wheel as a semi driver, his true calling was in cars, autobody work, and towing. A skilled businessman with an undeniable drive, he eventually built his own shop in the Campbellsport area.

A die-hard NASCAR enthusiast, David cheered for Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. with unwavering devotion. He had a way of bringing people together—quick to share a story, crack a joke, and keep conversations lively. His knack for spinning tales earned him the title of “number one BS-er,” and his jokes were nothing short of legendary.

Beyond the roar of engines, he found solace in woodworking, crafting with care and precision. He was always on the move, never one to sit idle, tackling every task with relentless energy. Above all else, his heart belonged to his family, especially his grandkids, whom he adored. And of course, his cat, Du-dah, held a special place in his world—properly spoiled, as all beloved pets should be.

Those David leaves behind to cherish his memory include his children, David “Davey” (Stephanie) Jacak of West Bend, and their children: Alexis (fiancé, Cade Bonlender), Addison, and Aubrey Jacak; Jarod Jacak of Eden, and his son, Zachary Jacak; Brenda Shepherd of Cambridge, Ohio, and her son, Cameran Shepherd; Heather (Jay) Wenzel of Brandon, and their children, Hailey and Andrew Wenzel; his siblings, Mary Jacak-Abraham and Roger “Butch” Jacak both of Campbellsport; and his beloved cat, Du-dah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

VISITATION: David’s family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, N189 County Road W, Campbellsport, (Town of Ashford) from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for David on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at St Kilian Catholic Church, at 4:00 p.m. with Father Mark Jones officiating.
