David Rachels Obituary
David Capers Rachels, 63, Martinez, GA – Entered into rest at his residence on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
David was a graduate of Evans High School and Augusta Technical College. He was a people person who used his skills as a catering manager at several local businesses. He loved to attend the Masters Golf Tournament with his good friend Lee Elder. He enjoyed collecting DC Comics and baseball cards. A man of faith, David loved the Lord. One of his favorite pastimes was going out to eat and chatting with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father Henry C. "Bunk" Rachels, his mother Evelyn W. Rachels, his brother Joe Rachels, his sister Patti McDonald, and his aunt Mae Rachels.
He is survived by his daughter Ashley Rachels, brothers Jim (Jill) and Peter Rachels, and numerous cousins.
The family will host a celebration of life on January 31, 2026.
