David Ray Obituary
Throughout David's life he was like a busy shepherd with a kind heart. On April 5, 2025 David departed this world leaving behind an act of kindness and loving spirit.
David began his educational journey at Thirty-Third Elementary/Middle School, graduated from Gulfport High School, and then had a football Scholarship to Texas Southern University. David worked on the pier as a longshoremen for several years.
David is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Marie Ray, and a sister Bettye Jean Sutton.
David leaves to cherish his memories; his brother, Arthur Ray Jr, a daughter, Genetha Ray and son-in-law, Ruddie Perez; three grandchildren, Jylan Howze, Kylan Howze, Xylan Howze; two step-children, Barbie Ducksworth and Bobby McBride; several nieces, nephews; family and friends.
