David Bryan Ray, known as Bryan, from Jonesville, Louisiana passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026 at the age of 59 surrounded by his loving family. Bryan was born in Natchez, MS on February 17, 1967 to Bertis and Brenda Ray. He was a son, brother, father and a friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Funeral Services for Bryan will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Parhams Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Bro. Tony Ganey officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday at 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Parhams Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Throughout his life Bryan experienced both challenges and joys, but he remained deeply loved by his family. He was especially cherished by his children, who were truly the light of his life.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Cannon Ray of Jonesville, LA, three sons, Jake Ray (Taylor) of Monterey, LA, Noah Ray of Jonesville, LA (Katherine Temple) of Denver, CO, and Zachary Girlinghouse and daughter Alyson Girlinghouse of Jena, LA; grand daughter, Lucy Ray of Monterey, LA; brother, Burt Ray (Gail), and sister Leah Humphries (Donnie) all of Jonesville, LA. Nephews Burton Ray, Matthew and Alex Humphries, niece Brena Dee Ray. Along with many extended family members and friends.

Bryan was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lottie Ray and Lorene Cannon, father, Bertis Ray and grand daughter, Adalyn Brooke Ray, and cousin Sue Ellen Cannon.

The family is grateful for the care and compassion shown to Bryan in his final days. A special thank you to Michele Duncan Jefferson for loving and caring for him during his health journey.

Those honoring Bryan as pallbearers are Matthew Humphries, Alex Humphries, Ross McCaughey, Shane McCaughey, Jesse McCaughey, Lil John Goeggle, and Sawyer Mount
