David Vincent Rea, the son of the late Robert John Rea of Chicago, IL and Verna Beatrice Dillon Rea of St. Johns, Newfoundland, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. David was born in Orlando, FL and served in the US Navy on the USS Benjamin Stoddert (DDG-22).
David is survived by his daughter, Requinn Nicollette of Lakeland, FL; siblings, Robert S. Rea (Diane) of Lugoff, Kathleen Rea of Orlando, FL, Barbara Burton (Gerald) of Greenwood, SC, Laura Willard of Easley, SC, Lt. General Maria R. Gervais (Lt. Col. Chris Gervais) of Fort Eustis, VA, and Gina Williams of Cross Hill, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by brothers, Stewart A. Rea and John C. Rea; and nephew, Robert John Rea II.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff Elgin Chapel, is assisting the family.
