David Allen Redepenning
October 11, 1962-January 2nd,2025
David was born to Clarice (Karels) & Earl Redepenning in Ortonville, Minnesota. Dave went to school in Ortonville where he graduated in 1981. In May of 1982 Dave enlisted in the US Air Force where he did his training at Lackland Air Force Base Texas, he then got the opportunity to travel the world where he was in Germany, Utah and England to name a few. Dave was a very proud American who stood for his country and Veteran.
David spent most of his time with the love of his life, Dawn. They loved to travel, watch sports, practice their faith and maintain a perfect lawn. David was most known for his unwavering love for his family. He loved nothing more than hearing the laughs of his grandchildren playing in the yard as he was flipping Dawn's famous homemade hamburger patties. From good times at the Tiki bar and long conversations by the bonfire, to the Christmas football game in the snow. Dave really cherished every one of those moments that were made. It's no secret that David also was a devoted Vikings fan. He loved watching every single game and anyone who knew him would watch it with him. He might have yelled at the team here and there, but if you're a Vikings fan you would understand what the Vikings met to him he was a diehard fan no matter how the years went. David also had strong dedication to his career as Cleanroom Quality Manager.in the medical field of a calibration department for many years. He experienced different companies along his career only to further his knowledge and move his way up the ranks. David is very proud of the legacy and memories that he left behind to his family.
David is survived by his wife Dawn of 36 years, children Alicia (Kyle) Curtis, Allison (Derek) Waldron Martin (Kayla) Engen of Brooten, Amanda (Laura) Toutges-Nelson of New London. Siblings: Sharon Peck, Ann Trebil, Joe Trebil, Bob Redepenning, Mary Frickson (Rick Lesch), Julie (Gary) Billett, Michael Redepenning, Daniel (Amy) Redepenning, Deb Kaczmarek (Karl). He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren Mason, Wyatt, Kaden, Ana, Kaleb, Levi, Rogan, Taylor, Jaron and Quentin.
David was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Clarice Redepenning, sister Linda grandparents and Father-in law Terry Frazee and sister-in-Law Denise Redpenning
January 24th, 2025 Friday Dave will have a viewing at 9:30 prior to the Service beginning at 10:30 Grace Lutheran Church in Andover, MN 13655 Round Lake Blvd.
The family asks that it be a casual funeral with jeans, Dave's favorite choices being purple for the Vikings/jerseys or the colors of Red/White or Blue for the military honors.
He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Snelling in the Summer.
David's dedication to his family and his country is sincerely inspiring and never will be forgotten. He will be truly missed by many, May he rest in peace.
