David Anthony Ritch

Mr. David A. Ritch, 51, of Lake City, FL, died Thursday, August 31, 2023 after a life changing car accident in 2019.
David had a car accident on May 20, 2019 that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down, Every day was a struggle, learning to adapt to his "new life". The last four (4) years gave him time to reflect on his life and turn it around. Every day he would read his bible, and tell me, "God has a reason". God answered his prayers and called him to his heavenly home, no more struggles!!!!
David was of the Baptist faith, but loved him some Pentecostal preaching, He loved fishing and hunting, and talking about it even more. David was a graduate of Columbia High School class of 1990.
David is proceeded in death by his younger brother, Jon Ritch in 2013.
David is survived by his mother and bonus dad, Diane C. McManus (Bob) of Lake City, his brother, Richie, of Lake City, step brother, Frank McManus (JoAnna), of Lake City, and step brother, Alan McManus (Leah) of Crawfordville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for David will be a graveside private ceremony at a later date. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Lake Montgomery Rehabilitation Center and their staff, and especially to Community Hospice and their caring staff for always being there when we needed them, they were a blessing. Thank you to our pastors at Hopeful Baptist church, and others that stopped by and visited with him, and sent prayer blessings, it made his day!!!!
