DURHAM –David Andrew Robertson, Sr., 95, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 27, 2025. He was born in Nottoway County, VA to the late David Henry Robertson and Emma Estelle Cox. He is predeceased by his wife, and the love of his life of 67 years, Frances Hayer Robertson. In addition to his parents and his wife, he is predeceased by his siblings Violet Mae Robertson Bridgeman, Estelle Osborne Robertson Traylor, SSgt James Clements Robertson, Mary Louise Robertson Lewis, Clyde Augustus Robertson, Sr., Beulah Marion Robertson Chandler, Patricia Robertson Grunthaner, Daniel B. Robertson. He is also preceded in death by his grandson Adam Christopher Lutz.

David retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad in 1990. He was a member of Mt. Sylvan Methodist Church for over 50 years. He especially loved rabbit hunting, spending time with his family and friends and hosting large gatherings and pig pickings with his loved ones.

David is survived by his 4 children; Virginia Wells of Durham, NC; Luke Robertson (Wendy) of Roxboro, NC; David Robertson, Jr. (Rosie) of Hillsborough; Ron Robertson (Michelle) of Union Grove, NC. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren; Dawn Oliver (Daniel), April Robinson (Gray), BJ Robertson, Jake Robertson, and Cody Robertson; and 5 great grandchildren, along with many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral and graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 2nd at Mt. Sylvan Methodist Church in Durham, NC. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the fellowship hall of the church.
