Obituary of David E. Roehrig
Victor- Monday, February 17, 2025 at the age of 76. Dave is predeceased by his parents, Otto and Emogene Roehrig; brother, Louis Roehrig. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Kathy Roehrig; daughter, Jessica (Todd) Czebatol; son, David Roehrig; sister, Linda Roehrig;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis (Nancy) Roberts, Glenn (Rose) Roberts, Barbara (Ed) Roberts, Patricia (Harry) Roberts, Jerry (Donna) Roberts, Susan (Gary) DeWilde and Tom (Lisa) Roberts along with several nieces and nephews.
Dave grew up on Hollenbeck street, with his parents, Otto and Emogene, and siblings, Linda and Louis. He remained close with his friends from the neighborhood throughout his life. Graduating from Edison tech in 1966, Dave was proud to put his education to work for Delco Products as a tool and die maker. He retired as president of IUE-CWA Local 509. Many of the people he met at Delco became lifelong friends. He met Kathy, who became his wife on October 28, 1981. Dave was welcomed into Kathy's large, loving family, who he embraced as his own. Together they joyfully grew their family with their own two children, Jessica and David. Dave continued to value education, and after many years of night classes, earned his Bachelor of Science in the College of Business from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1995. In addition to family, friends, work and education, Dave filled his life with hobbies. He shared his love of stamp and coin collecting with his children. Upon retirement, he began golf lessons, finding a new group of friends with the Mendon Country Club Senior League. After his long and full life, Dave passed peacefully with his family at his bedside.
His family will receive friends Saturday, February 22, 11:00am - 2:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday, February 22, 2:00 pm at the funeral home for his memorial service. Please join the family for a celebration of Dave's life immediately following the service at Shadow Lake, 1850 Five Mile Line Road, Penfield. Interment to be held at a later date at White Haven Memorial Park.
