David Darnell Rudy

Funeral service for David Rudy, 62 of Enid, will be Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 10:00 am in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Wellman officiating. Burial will follow in Short Springs, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.

David was born June 3, 1963 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Donald and Henrietta (Lindbloom) Rudy and passed away December 13, 2025 in Enid.

He was the youngest of the three Rudy boys. David grew up farming and raising animals. He was an animal whisperer and could calm animals and get them to do about anything. David graduated from the Alva Public School system and went into farming with his father. He later moved to South Dakota and then to Copeland, Kansas, where he worked in the school system for 15 years. He retired on disability and moved to Enid, Oklahoma. David loved working with the kids in the school and demanded discipline and responsibility from any that he contacted. He was a great influence on the kids.

David had strong opinions on about every subject and was not shy about sharing them when asked. Everyone knew where he stood. David was strong in his Christian beliefs. No one could ask for a better friend.

David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Daryl.

He is survived by his brother, Daron and his family; best friend since childhood, Mark Sneary and his family.
