David Paul Ruth

David Ruth, 83, of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the care of Country Meadows.

Born in West Reading to the late Paul J. and Evelyn A. (Seiz) Ruth, David graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1960. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964.

Following his discharge, his experience in aviation carried into his civilian career as a member of the ground crew for TWA. Dave was beloved by countless flight attendants and earned many commendations for his hard work. He previously resided and worked in San Francisco, Tucson, and San Diego before his retirement in 1998 after 33 years with TWA, at which point he returned to Wyomissing and moved into his childhood home.

He loved to travel and took advantage of his TWA standby passes to treat his family to adventure. Dave was passionate about horse racing and enjoyed collecting horse racing memorabilia, particularly for the Triple Crown races.

Left to treasure Dave's memory is his sister, Ann, wife of Thomas D. Wolfe, of Hilton Head Island, SC; nieces, Heather Wolfe, wife of Quindi Franco, and Meredith Wolfe; nephew, Jevon, husband of Krysta Wolfe; and great nieces and nephews: Paul Vanden Branden; Sylvana and Thea Franco-Wolfe; and Ainsley, Madelyn, and Owen Wolfe. David is also survived by cousins, Barbara Greth, Pat Ventress, George Seiz, and Phyllis Seiz.

David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reading.
