Beloved husband of Patricia Ann Saas. Loving father of Erich Saas, Gretchen Allen, Heidi (Tony) Sala, William (Meghan) Saas, and Patrick (Jessica) Saas. Grandfather of Trevor Allen, Ainsley Allen, Benjamin Saas, and Evangeline Saas.
Son of the late Clara Anita Saas and William Saas.
Brother of the late William Saas, Charles Saas, Dorothy DeBaud, Vera Hoy, and Miriam Voss. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
An avid climber, David scaled the world's highest peaks (Everest '85). A distinguished Navy and airline pilot, David soared the world's bluest skies. An accomplished baritone, he sang with the Saints Unified Voices choir (Gladys Knight). A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he dutifully engaged in various callings. A committed husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, David touched a great many lives. His loving memory will be dearly held by all who survive him.
