David A. Savary

Mr. David A. Savary, age 66, of Peabody formerly of Saugus, died on Tuesday, March 19th. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Keough) Savary with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn and raised in Saugus, Mr. Savary was the son of the late Virgil A. and Barbara A. (Newhall) Savary. A lifelong resident of Saugus until moving to Peabody in 2019, David was a machinist for many years before becoming a custodian for Saugus High School where he ultimately retired. He had a love for music, acquiring an extensive vinyl record collection, and was a skilled brewmaster who built muscle cars. An expert handyman, he could tackle any repair or construction project with ease. David found joy in life's simple pleasures, from his love for cats to shared family TV nights and regular visits to the Jade, he was known for his quick wit, funny anecdotes, and love for red wine. His absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his daughter Charlene Savary of Peabody and his sister Ruth Ann Frechette of Methuen.
