Ashland- Roberta Evelyn Savary, 83, peacefully entered into eternal life on May 21, 2024, at an Eagle Lake healthcare facility. She was born July 14, 1940, in Quincy Massachusetts, the daughter of Erving and Ruth (Foster) Church.
Roberta graduated Weymouth High School in 1958 and soon after met the love of her life when Charlie was visiting his family in Massachusetts. After courting for a short time, they married in 1961 and remained in Massachusetts for several years. While living in Massachusetts Roberta worked at Olson's machine Shop in Abington and at the Foxborough Company before moving to Ashland Maine in 1981. She started working for Burrells in Presque Isle in 1982.
Roberta was a parishioner of St. Mark's Church, Ashland with her husband for many years. She was a very active member and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of Bone Builders and Senior Citizens.
Roberta was predeceased by her husband of over 61 years Charles Savary and her parents Erving and Ruth (Foster) Church.
She is survived by her three children Peter Savary of Kansas, Ruth Ikasalo and her companion David Dziomba of Ashland and Mark Savary of Michigan, brother-in-law; Gary Savary of Ashland, grandchildren; Michael and Mark, great grandchildren; Benny and Caitlin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, July 15, 2024, at St. Mark Catholic Church, Allen Farm Rd., Ashland. Burial will be in the parish cemetery following the Mass. Following the burial friends and family are invited to a time of remembrance and fellowship at St. Mark's fellowship hall.
