David E. Schaefer

SCHAEFER, David E., age 77 died Easter Sunday April 12, 2009. David was born November 20, 1931 in Columbus, IN to Earl H. and Flora R. Schaefer. David was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jeffrey Earl. He graduated from St. Peter's Lutheran School , Columbus High School and Purdue University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. David worked for Inland Division of General Motors retiring after 38 ½ years. He was a lifelong Lutheran and member of the Lutheran Church of our Savior in Oakwood being active in the Church Council and various other activities. He enjoyed playing sports; golf, bowling, baseball and a antique car buff. David is survived by his wife of 44 ½ years, Marion E. (Stinchecum) Schaefer and numerous cousins. Memorial services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Lutheran Church of our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Oakwood, OH with Rev. Gary Eichhorn officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the Parish House.
