David Scheiwe Obituary

On June 22, 2024, David Arthur Scheiwe, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 15, 1947, in Watseka, Illinois. After serving in the United States Navy, he married Anita M. Batzer (Sybert) in 1981. Together they raised three surviving stepchildren, Josh (Margie) Sybert, John Sybert and Erin (Darin) Segal. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Joey Sybert, Tom Sybert, Jared Segal, Emily Segal and Mandi Segal; sister Virginia Hunt and brother Kenneth Scheiwe, Sr.

Family will receive friends at the Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 5 – 7pm and Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 10 – 11:30am; where a Memorial Service will begin at 11:30am. Interment is private. Additional information may be found at:

David was in the Cardiac/Pulmonary class that I attend, and I loved his sense of humor. He will be missed.
