David Schmidt Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 12, 2025.
David Paul Schmidt of Beachwood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025 at the age of 46.
Born on June 19, 1979, Dave was a beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, step father and friend. He touched the lives of many with his profound sense of humor, kindness, warmth, creativity, and curiosity. Dave was a generous and loyal partner and friend, and possessed a brilliant & creative mind, disarming wit, and an empathetic heart.
Dave was born in Toms River, NJ and grew up in Forked River, NJ with his parents Bruce and Diane and sister Heather. There they made memories and shared a bond beyond a lifetime. He graduated from Lacey High School and gained a degree from Stockton University. He was a dedicated employee in his field for many years and well know throughout the industry.
He met the love of his life Jules through work, and although their time together was far too short, the love that they possessed for one another was one that was unimaginable and few and far between. It was clear for all to see, any moment that Dave even heard her name, her voice, or presence, he immediately lit up with the biggest smile of joy, and his love for her filled the air. They spent all of their time together, making memories and traveling, especially to their favorite island.
Dave was an intricate and intellectual individual, with a love for music, travel, the beach, adventure, art, playing drums, and spending all of his time with his loved ones, especially his family. He was simple, yet had an elegant class of his own. A true individual.
He is survived by his wife Julie Schmidt, his mother and father Diane and Bruce Schmidt, sister and brother in law Heather and Tim Matthews, grandmother Carol Schmidt, niece Lyla, nephew Cyle, step children Savannah, Evan and Trey, father-in-law Richard Beaubien, mother-in-law Lori Beaubien, grandchildren Kade and Lainey, and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Sam and Francis (Lou) Getty, grandfather Ed Schmidt, and uncles Ed and Mark Schmidt.
Dave will forever be remembered by all.
