David Clarence Schnerr, III, age 72, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on January 13, 2026

surrounded by his family.

David was born to David Clarence Schnerr, Jr. and Silvia Huber Schnerr. He was preceded in death by

his parents and sister, L. Anne Schnerr Tester. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie Hempfling

Schnerr; his daughters, Johanna Naylor and Kristen Siscel; his stepchildren, Nathan George and Tamitha Lant; his nephew, Nathan Tester; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. .

David lived a life deeply rooted in music, creativity, and discipline. Exceptionally well-versed in music

theory, he mastered and played many musical instruments. Over the course of his career, he worked with renowned artists including The Fifth Dimension, Dean Martin, and Liza Minnelli, as well as many talented local musicians. His professional affiliations reflected his dedication to the craft and included membership in the Registry of Guitar Tutors and the University of West London, the Piano Guild of America, and the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers (ASMAC). He further pursued his passion by studying film and media composition, blending music with storytelling.

Beyond music, David was a man of many talents and interests. His hobbies ranged from boxing and

weightlifting to cigar rolling and locksmithing. He took great pride in being a grill master and earned a

culinary degree, delighting friends and family with both skill and generosity. Whatever he pursued, David approached it with intensity, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence.

David Clarence Schnerr, III will be remembered for his intellect, creativity, and the depth of his passions.

His legacy lives on through his music, his family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. My deepest condolences go out to his family. I have known David for many years. Always dedicated to his music. He was an amazing guitarist. David will be missed.
