December 21, 1942 – November 5, 2025
Age 82, Oakdale MN passed away unexpectedly at Honor Health Four Peaks Hospital in
Mesa AZ. Dave is survived by his wife, Linda, their blended family: Kathy School (Scott
Jewell), Robert School (Vicharin Vadakan), Tawnya (Tom) Marek, Jory Mehle, Simona Mehle, Alicia Mehle,
grandchildren: Brandon, Josh and Andrew Chandler, Daevon, Tristan and Deanna Mehle.
Visitation will be @ noon on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Oakwood Celebrate Life, Maplewood
MN. The celebration of life will begin at 1:00 pm.
Beyond Hospice supported us during Dave's last two months. He may be gone from sight but never from the laughter and love
he sparked in others. Dave was best known for his one-liners and quick wit. Most people
would comment, "he's so funny". Please share your best stories of the "Life of Dave".
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Operation

We have so many wonderful memories of Dave.
What an amazing person and what a remarkable life.
We feel so fortunate to have had him as our brother-in-law.
He will be greatly missed.

We have been blessed to have Dave in our lives for over 30 years. I came to love him and realize what an incredible person he was in a very short time when he made a special gesture towards mom. She was taking college algebra and was stressed about a big test the next day. The following morning, I came downstairs to find on the kitchen counter a fresh carton of orange juice and a vase of bright yellow daffodils that could not help but fill one with a sense of joy and peace.
The photo featured below is one of my favorites of the two of them sharing a loving look immediately following the wedding of his son, Bob (Robert) and Vicharin (Pebbles).
Though you are no longer living among us, love never dies. I love you forever, Dave!

What a guy, what a ride! Dave is love of my life and happy to have shared the past 32 years together. We made a good team. He was loved by many and he held those people close to his heart. He thrived on helping others with projects and the opportunity to throw his one-liners out when you least expected.
He passed away peacefully with no pain. His last couple of months he was at home hospice. He enjoyed visits from his hospice team and when left, they always had a smile on their faces by some comment he made to brighten the day. He also had a special friend visit with him weekly. When Rick walked into the house, Dave would say "it must be Tuesday".
One last request was picture of me on our grandson's motorcycle and him with his walker.
