David Schriber Obituary

David Leroy 'Red' Schriber

David Leroy "Red" Schriber, age 72, of Britt, Minn., and formerly of Iowa, died peacefully in his home on Monday, December 1, 2025.

He was born August 28, 1953, in Webster City, Iowa, the son of George and Katie (Wibben) Schriber. He was united in marriage to Joan Haller on June 8, 1974 in Chapin, Iowa.

In 2019 David and Joan moved near Virginia, Minn., to be closer to family. David worked at L&M Supply in the sporting goods department until COVID. He loved watching old westerns on TV, fishing for walleye, following Ryan Gustin's races, and hunting on his dream land. He loved living on the lake.

David was a devoted husband to Joan; father to Corey (Teri); grandpa (papa) to Bryce, Haley, Ty, and Tristan; father-in-law to Kate; step-grandpa to Tyler, Dylan and Jenna; brother-in-law to David and Mary Haller; and best friend to Russell Anderson; and is survived by many friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Keith; and his beloved son: USMC Master Sgt. Kyle Schriber in 2023.

Per David's wishes, there will not be a funeral at this time.
