David Michael Schultz, age 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025. Born on August 21, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, David was the beloved son of Robert and Florence Schultz.
David was a man who found joy in the simple things — the quiet stillness of a fishing spot, the freedom of a boat ride, the warmth of a beach day, or the glow of an evening bonfire with a cold beer in hand. He was a true outdoorsman who never missed a chance to connect with nature. Whether he was casting a line, enjoying the thrill of target shooting, or just kicking back to the sound of old rock and roll, David embraced life in his own unique and wholehearted way.
He had a spirit that appreciated the world around him — never needing much to be happy, just the comfort of the open air, good company, and maybe a classic tune playing in the background. Those who knew him will remember his love for the outdoors, his laid-back nature, and his ability to find peace in life’s everyday moments.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Florence Schultz, and his siblings: Bobbi, Fred, Dottie, Sandy, Micky, and Roger.
Left to cherish his memory, David is survived by his loving partner, Sherri Tomes; son, David Michael Schultz II; step-daughter, Adrienne Keowen; grandchildren, David Michael Schultz III, Lily Marie Schultz, and Camden Robert Schultz; siblings, Donald, Jerry, Betty, and Judy; and a host of extended family and close friends.
A funeral service will be held for Mr. David Michael Schultz at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
