Mr. David Michael Sciano, age 63, of Elkin, passed away on Thursday October 24, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Sciano was born on July 28, 1961 in Passaic County New Jersey to the late Edward Sciano and Janice Higgs Sciano.
David was a life long Mets fan and also was a fan of the New Jersey Devils, New York Giants, ODU Baseball and ODU Football. He was an avid model builder and belonged to IPMS Race City, Salvinos, JR Models, and Wes's Model Car Corner model clubs. He was also a vestry member at Galloway Memorial Episcopal Church. David was the recipient of a kidney from Mary Smith Hunter. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the National Kidney Foundation.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister Patricia Sciano and a brother Edward Sciano Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister Laurie Sciano of the home; a sister in law Cynthia Sciano of Hawthorne, New Jersey; and five feline children of the home.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 29, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at Johnson Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday November 10, 2024 at 2pm at Galloway Memorial Episcopal Church.
