David Keith Scroggs, 67, of Lakeview, Arkansas, passed away on July 15, 2025. He was born on August 31, 1957, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Frank and Theresa Mayeaux Scroggs.
On August 27, 1988, David married Connie Diamond in Pineville, Louisiana. A dedicated and hardworking man throughout his life, David built a long career in chemical coating sales, retiring from Sherwin-Williams. Providing for his family was always his top priority.
In 2006, David and Connie relocated from Louisiana to Lakeview, Arkansas, where he became an active member of the community, serving on the board of the Lakeview Water Department. In retirement, he found joy in gardening-especially growing ingredients he could cook-and spent many peaceful hours fishing on the lake.
David is survived by his loving wife of nearly 37 years, Connie Scroggs of Lakeview, AR; his daughter, Kerstin (Dave) Poole of Florida; his beloved grandson, Cooper Poole of Florida; his siblings, Rosalyn (Billy) Beall of New Hampshire, Darlene (Terry) Whalen of Missouri, and Marc (Barbara) Scroggs of Missouri; his uncle, Wayne Mayeaux of Louisiana; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Theresa Scroggs.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, with a Vigil Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home, AR, with entombment to follow at Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
