David Michael Segar, 70, of Duxbury passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday March 19th.
David was born May17th in Willimantic Connecticut, son of Herbert and Rosemary Segar.He is pre deceased by both parents, his sister Theresa Segar, and brother James Segar. He is survived by his loving wife Carol, to whom he was married for almost 48 wonderful years. Daughters Stephanie Cully and her husband Adam Cully,and Amanda Esdale and her husband Daniel Esdale, along with three beautiful grandchildren; Keaton Cully, Hadley Esdale and Rowan Cully.Siblings Mary Kay Wood, Peggy Michals, Robert Segar, Ellen Segar, Kevin Segar and sister in law Gale Unger, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
David grew up in Storrs Connecticut. He attended Plymouth State University, where he met his best friend and wife Carol. Together they started a family in Duxbury MA. David loved the beach, fishing, gardening, a good barbecue but above all spending time with those he loved.
Funeral Services will be held at Holy Family Church in Duxbury at 10 am on Tuesday March 26th, followed by a burial at Mayflower Cemetery. Reception will be held for family and friends at Christinas Restaurant in Pembroke MA.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
