David Lee Sexton, age 36 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died Sunday, May 12, 2024 in the Beulah Heights Community.

He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on January 12, 1988 the son of Pete and Margie (Sexton) Strunk. David had retired from the US Army, was a member of the American Legion Post #115 and the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hiking, being on the computer with his friends, but especially spending time with his family.

His sister, Crystal King; brother, Dewayne Strunk; grandparents, Theodore and Violet Sexton and Em and Jewel Strunk; uncles, Richard Sexton and James Strunk and aunt, Denise Chambers precedes him in death.

Survivors include his parents; Pete and Margie Strunk of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughter, Octavia Sexton of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; brothers, Kevin Strunk and Dusitn Strunk both of Pine Knot, Kentucky; grandparents, Paul and Amy Cole; uncles and aunts, Jeff and Janice Kidd, Terry and Darla Sexton, Wanda and Jack Smith; Curtis and Linda Boyatt. Arnold and Melissa Threet, Bobby and Patricia Taylor, Dale and Patricia Strunk, Michael and Marea Strunk; nephew, Tevin Strunk.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, May 17, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Tapley and Bro. Matthew Kidd officiating. Burial to follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Friday at the Funeral Home.
