On September 14, 2025, David Lee Sheedy passed away peacefully in Mishawaka, IN, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on September 4, 1938, in Anderson, IN, to the late Ivan and Thelma (Manis) Sheedy.

David married Mary Jo Markovich on February 4, 1961. She survives him along with their sons; David Sheedy (Jacque) of South Bend, IN, Matthew Sheedy (Kate) of Queen Creek, AZ, Patrick (Linda) Sheedy of Verona, WI, John Sheedy (Tracey) of New Carlisle, IN; 11 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents, his sister; Evelyn Foland, and his brother; Ivan "Sonny" Sheedy.

Professionally David worked as a salesman in the food industry. Beyond his professional achievements, David played in the Mishawaka Softball League for many years. He also played in many basketball leagues as well. His passion was fishing the "Mighty St. Joe River".

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church. A private burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
