Letha R. Boyden, a loving mother, devoted grandmother, cherished sister, and dear friend, passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, at her sister's home. Born June 9, 1958, in South Bend, Indiana, Letha lived a life marked by kindness, service, and unwavering Christian faith.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Lewis W. and Gloria D. (Gulley) Boyden, Sr. Letha graduated from Washington High School in 1977 and dedicated many years of compassionate service as an EKG Technician at Memorial Hospital. She was known for her caring spirit, love of travel, and her natural sense of style. Whether enjoying a favorite meal at Ruth's Chris or spending time with family, Letha found joy in life's everyday moments.

Letha lived her faith through service and generosity. Above all, she treasured her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Arica Jones of Philadelphia, PA, and Shayla (Demetrius) Chapman of Brownsburg, IN that she had with Lawrence Jones; her grandchildren, Letha-Andrea Jones, DeAnn Chapman, De'Sha Chapman, Demetrius Chapman Jr., Gail Kendrick, Victoria Kendrick, and Mason Dennis; her siblings, Carmen D. Boyden, Gail D. Boyden, Roxie A. Boyden, Lewis W. Boyden II (Janie), and Jacob T. Boyden (Mary); along with a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother Letha Franklin (Mama Franklin) and sisters, Valeria L. Jordan and Alvina L. Boyden.
