David Keith Sims

David Keith Sims, formally of Farrell Pa, departed this life Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 6:30 pm in his home in Bealeton, VA after a brief illness. He was the son of Wylie Lewis Sims and Dorothy Daniel Sims. David was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan, loved swimming and anything that included high-tech commitment. He attended Milton Hershey School and was a 1972 graduate. He immediately fulfilled his dream and joined the US Marine Corp & serve 8-years. After extensive travels, he finally settled in New Jersey where he became a IT Systems Engineer. His secondary office was in Switzerland & Japan. He leaves to cherish in his memory, his loving wife, Cassandra Fields-Sims, and his Stepson, Charles Owens both of Bealeton, VA.; his Mother, Dorothy C. Sims of Sharon, PA.; his loving sister, Carla Sims of Farrell, PA. & Carolyn Hubbard; three brothers, Stuart E. Sims of Sharon, PA., and Jason E. Sims of Harrisburg PA.,Brian Sims of Farrell, PA; and two loving daughters, Shannon Renee Sims of Harrisburg, PA, and Lauren Henson of California. Also to cherish his memory are his beloved Uncle Rev. Forrest E Underwood of Farrell PA, Benard Sims (Lula) of Durham, NC, Thomas Sims (Jean) of Farrell; two beautiful grandchildren Payton Faulkner & Damien Henson; son-in-law Travis Henson; his mother-n-law Carolyn A. Fields & devoted sister-n-law Latishia Fields. Cherishing his memories are his best Marine friend of 37-years Gerald Middlebrooks, close buddies Joseph Higgans & Nathaniel Davis who all celebrated much time together; his God-mother Lisa Ramadas that he loved dearly & his dog Ashley Latishia Sims that is missing "Daddy" everyday & many other friends & family. Burial will be held at Quantico National Marine Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Ames Funeral Home Inc., located at 8914 Quarry Rd, Manassas, VA. In lieu of flowers; please make contributions to the David Keith Sims Funeral Service in the care of Cassandra Sims his Wife. Service will be held Friday, April 2, 2021, with viewing starting at 10 am and services following. The funeral home will be following CDC and Virginia state mandated Covid-19 measures. Temperatures will be taken at the door, masks are required, and social distancing will be practiced.
