David "Bo" Skidmore went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 66.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy; son, Dale; parents, Bud and Carolyn Skidmore; in-laws, Carroll and Bonnie Roach; sister, Tammy Rogers; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Axley.

David loved to sing and tell others about the love of Jesus Christ. He was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church in Rutledge, TN. He loved camping, watching and playing golf, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, David Skidmore Jr.; grandson, Austin (Darcy) Skidmore; granddaughters, Audrey (Nick) Bassett and Autumn Skidmore; two great-granddaughters, Sophie and Holly Skidmore; brother, Randy (Sheila) Skidmore; sister, Renae Axley; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

A funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Owens officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Cohutta, GA.
