David Spencer Obituary
EAST GREENBUSH - David Douglas Spencer, 44, of Troy, passed away Saturday March 7, 2026 at home.
He was born in Albany, N.Y., the son of Douglas and Mary Ann (Madden) Spencer.
Dave was a graduate of Columbia High School, East Greenbush, and SUNY Albany.
For many years he worked in IT support for SUNY Albany. He enjoyed a wide variety of music, made and played guitars, traveled and explored on cross country trips. He looked forward to visits from his nieces and nephew who thought he was the coolest uncle.
David was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be missed till the end of time.
He is survived by his parents, Doug and Mary Ann; his sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Rick Tripi; and nieces and nephew Vivian, Emmeline and Milo. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He greatly enjoyed the company of Josh and Emily, and Woody, Katherine and Willa.
Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, March 13, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a brief Memorial service at 11 a.m., in the William Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush.
Contributions in David's memory may be made to Children International, P.O. Box 219055, Kansas City, Mo. 64121.
