Millstadt, Illinois - David K. Steele, age 75, of Millstadt, IL, born on October 29, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his residence.
David retired after working for over 40 years as a truck driver for Thompson Gas Company, East St. Louis, IL. He was a car enthusiast and owned a 1956 Bel-Air convertible. David enjoyed going to car shows, and was a member of the Masonic East Lodge #504, in Fairview Heights, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norma E., nee Babcock and Chester E. Steele; and his brother, Terry M. Steele.
David is survived by his wife, Mary E. Steele, nee Holle; his son David E. (Candace) Steele; his daughter, Tina Renee Miller; his grandchildren, Hudson Edward Steele, Lauren Harper Steele, Jasmine Nicole Miller, and Zachary Taylor Miller; and his brother, Gary Edward Steele.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL, with Masonic Rites at 5:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held immediately following rites at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL.
Cremation will follow. Burial of cremated remains will be held in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
