David Arthur Stephens passed on September 2, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Dave was not only a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and Friend…he was a well respected Airmen. Born in Beacon, New York in 1956, he joined the Air Force and relocated to Cheyenne, WY at age 18. He retired a Chief Master Sargent from the Wyoming Air National Guard after 31 years of service and continued his career for another 14 years with the Dept. of Defense. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Stephens; siblings, Karen Davis, Donald Stephen, Kimberly O'Donnell, and Earl Stephens; his daughter, Brianne Stephens; his stepchildren, Krystine Dalton, Ty Dalton, Mason Dalton and Derek Dalton, he loved as his very own; as well as many extended family and friends who are considered family whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Viola Stephens; his siblings, Howard Stephens, Richard Stephens, Kathleen Thibeault, as well as his daughter, Brittany Stephens. You have left a hole in this universe that will never be filled. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026, details to follow.

To Kathleen and family,
My deepest and most heartfelt condolence. I was lucky enough to become one of Dave's friends. I met him when we we're both young men at Ballands gym. Everyone there started as friends but slowly became family. Dave would come in proudly wearing his uniform. You could always see how he loved representing his country. Soft spoken but always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. We all shared stories of life, laughter, and sometimes sadness, but always caring for each other. If you have broken bread with someone then you truly are friends, if not you stay just an acquaintance. We we're all lucky to break bread with Dave. Always a family man, always caring, listening. He will be missed and thought of often. Godspeed my friend.
