David Allen Sterrett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Allen Sterrett, 53, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Brentwood, California. David was born on February 25, 1972, in New York. David is predeceased by his father Michael Sterrett, and survived by his mother, Sherry Moore Sterrett; his sister Laura Sterrett Deutsch, her husband Geoffrey Deutsch and their three daughters Emily Deutsch (CA), Justine Deutsch (NY) and Kate Deutsch (CA); and his sister Christina Sterrett Whitmire, her husband Todd Whitmire and their three children Devin Whitmire (AZ), Logan Whitmire (AZ), and Mikayla Whitmire (CA). David was loved by many friends and a large extended family throughout the country.

A proud Special Olympics gold medalist, David enjoyed running, snow skiing, bowling, swimming and riding his bike. He lived a life full of adventures and fun experiences - from co-piloting a small airplane to co-driving a big rig truck. He enjoyed traveling and trying new things. David was also a superfan of reality TV and pop music, and he loved collecting model cars, trucks, airplanes and trains.

David gave so much love and joy to those who knew him, meeting life with curiosity and courage at every turn. His memory will forever be a cherished part of our lives.
