David Harold Stewart, age 72, passed away peacefully at Bethesda North Hospital surrounded by his family on March 18, 2026.
He was born August 20, 1953, in Wilmington, Ohio, to Harold and Betty Mae (Adams) Stewart.
Dave was the owner of Dave Stewart Electric. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need. He took pride in mentoring his employees and sharing his knowledge of the electrical trade.
He was an active member of both the Church of Christ and Wilmington Church of the Nazarene, where he used his talents to support services and events.
He was also involved in the community, contributing his time and expertise to local fairs and festivals. Dave had a long-standing connection to the Murphy Theatre, where he served in a technical role for many years. With more than 40 years of involvement, he generously gave his time and resources, often volunteering to help with preservation projects at the theater.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife, May Stewart; his daughters, Jaime (Gabe) Polston, Tricia (Brian) Edwards, and Stephanie (George) Aubin; his stepson, Jon (Faby) Greene; his sister, Debbie Stewart; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Betty Mae Stewart.
Memorial contributions are welcomed to Wilmington Church of the Nazarene, Building Fund.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 22, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Wilmington Church of the Nazarene, with burial to follow at New Antioch Church of Christ in Wilmington. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
