David Wayne Stokley

David Stokley went to be with his father, Alton Stokley, on November 7th, 2023, at the young age of 49 years old. He was born on November 20th, 1973, in Jacksonville, AR to Alton and Gwen Stokley. He is preceded in death by his father Alton Stokley and uncle F.A. Stokley. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Spencer, his mother, Gwen Stokley, and all those who loved and cared for him.
My father was my hero and didn't even know it. I am the strong, independent woman I am today because of him. He was a single father who did his best to raise me. We didn't always have the best relationship, but I couldn't be prouder to call him my father.
He was a strong willed, loyal, dependable, and hardheaded man. Once you got to know him though, he was so funny and such a character it made many peoples' day. I knew I could always call my father when I needed him, and he would always come no matter what. He loved baseball and even coached little league for a bit. He wanted to get back into that, it was something that really brought him joy. He wasn't too happy with the astros this year.
May we meet again but until then, I hope you find peace in the afterlife.
Services for David Stokley will be held Friday, November 24th,2023 from 11 am - 2 pm at Cypress Creek Funeral Home and Crematory.
