David Storck Obituary

David Jeffrey Storck, 41, passed away the morning of October 30, 2025.
Dave was the beloved son of Jeff Storck and the late Judy Storck, devoted brother to Mandy and her husband Nick Volz, and proud father of Harper, Rhys, and Caroline. He was also the cherished uncle of Maya and Lucas, and deeply loved by his extended family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
One of the gentlest, kindest souls, Dave never spoke an unkind word. He lived with quiet integrity and a genuine desire to do the right thing, showing love through steady presence and patience. He always showed up for his family and friends. His goodness and compassion were steady and real, and everyone who knew him felt it.
He graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a degree in Finance and later earned his Master's in Business. For nearly two decades, Dave built a successful career as a finance professional, providing for his family with dedication and pride. But more than any title or accomplishment, his greatest joy was being a dad. He spent his life building a warm, loving home and creating memories that his children will always carry with them.
Following the loss of his mom, Dave went through a difficult season of heartache and change. Even during hard times, he continued to show courage, kindness, and love to the people around him. His strength, even in the quiet moments, reflected the same grace and compassion he had always given so freely. He is now at peace and reunited with his mom, whose love and faith guided him throughout his life.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243) on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 10:00am - 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in his memory, to honor his heart and help others find hope.

Yesterday

There are people in this world that genuinely make a difference in your life and add goodness and light. That was Dave. He always had a smile, good advice, and a great sense of humor. Those of us who were lucky enough to work with him knew him as a family first guy, super proud of his children, and ultimately the guy you wanted to have on your team. His kindness and compassion for others was beyond compare. We will miss you Dave.
