David Condee Straight

David Condee Straight, of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away on March 6, 2026, at MUSC in Charleston, SC.

David spent many years as a Consultant at National Bank of Commerce, then a Group Vice President at SunTrust Bank, and later enjoyed a successful career as a realtor with Southern Dwellings. He loved the lake, the ocean, his family, and the many dogs who were part of his life over the years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lewis Straight Sr.; his mother, Norah Carol Condee Straight; and his brother, Robert (Bob) Lewis Straight Jr.

David is survived by his husband, Scott Anderson; sister-in-law Mary Straight; sister Jo Ellen Moles; brother John Asa Straight and his wife, Karen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bruce Vincent and his wife, Kristy Vincent, of Hilton Head Island, for their exceptional professional support; to David's cousin, Leisa Yeager of Mount Pleasant, SC, for her devoted care during his rehabilitation; and to the entire staff of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for their compassion.
