Dave was born in
Iowa City, Iowa on December 13, 1958, the son of Alvin and Mary Joan Streb. Dave met his wife, Mindi, in October of 1988 and they were married in Jamaica on January 10, 1991. Dave and Mindi had a beautiful life together. Dave loved his family, was an amazing husband, father, and friend. He was an avid Hawkeye and Green Bay Packer fan and loved to entertain, often opening their home to anyone.
Dave helped build the backbone of our communities by paving subdivisions, parking lots, city streets, county roads, interstates and airports across our great state. Dave's legacy goes far beyond concrete. He was a man who believed in hard work, craftsmanship and showing up every day to make Iowa stronger than it was the day before. Through his leadership, Streb Construction and E & F Paving became trusted names supporting good paying jobs and helping communities grow and connect. Dave Streb leaves behind a lasting imprint on Iowa's landscape and an even greater impact on the people who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and his legacy will endure in every life connected.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents Al and Mary Joan Streb; brother Patrick Streb, brother-in-law, Daniel Chelf and father-in-law William Rissi.
