It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David "Preacher" Stuart, 68, of Newport, North Carolina, who passed away unexpectedly on September 11, 2023, at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service to honor Preacher's life will be held at 2 p.m., September 18th at Munden Funeral Home. The viewing and visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., September 15th at Munden Funeral Home.
Born on August 19, 1955, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, David was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Stuart.
Known to so many as "Preacher" his unwavering faith in the Lord guided him to serve as a pastor in numerous independent churches. He had a genuine desire to help others, touching the lives of many within the community. Throughout his life, Preacher's dedication to his calling inspired those around him, creating a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of hearing his down-to-earth and sensible lessons of truth.
Preacher embraced life with a zest for adventure and his unwavering love for motorcycles and riding was evident to anyone who crossed his path. David found solace and freedom on the open road, feeling the wind against his face as he pursued his passion, finding joy and excitement in every twist and turn.
Preacher's truest companion in life was his beloved wife, Judy. Throughout their years together, they crafted a love that was a beacon of support, strength, and companionship. Together, they shared many journeys on their beloved motorcycles, creating memories that shall forever remain etched in Judy's heart.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy; his 3 sons, Ronnie Rudd and wife Amy, David Stuart, and Dylan Stuart and companion Sydney Pittman, all of Morehead City; brother, Russell Stuart and wife Wanda of Raleigh; grandchildren, Travis Rudd and companion Abby Grant, Trevor Rudd and wife Elizabeth, Sophia Stuart, Ashley Stuart, and Lusion-Moon Stuart; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Rudd, Allie Jo Rudd, Emma Rudd, Ja'Siah Cason and Nyela Jauregui.
The family asks that you please keep them in your prayers during this very difficult time.
