Clyde "David" Stuart Jr., a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, departed this life on May 24, 2025, at the age of 62. Born in Copperhill, Tennessee, David dedicated his life to his family and his passions, leaving a legacy of love and commitment that will be cherished by all who knew him.
David was an exceptional businessman, proudly operating his own auto body shop business, where he shared his expertise and skill helping many families in his community. His love for cars was only rivaled by his devotion to his family. He spent countless hours at racetracks, often accompanied by his son, Devin, creating lasting memories on and off the track. David's zest for life extended beyond the racing circuit; he found joy in the great outdoors, cultivating a garden and showcasing his remarkable skills of craftsmanship as an artist and woodworker.
A member of the Macedonia Church of Christ, David exemplified the values of his faith and loved his family and friends like Jesus. David enjoyed spending time with his lifelong partner Robin. He was a devoted father to his children, Devin and Blair, and a proud grandfather to Ahnysti Stuart, as well as to Asher and Daxton Stanton. His family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he took great pride in nurturing their growth and well-being.
David was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Ann Jones and brother-in-law Donny Gilliam.
David is survived by his life partner; Robin Stanton, son; Devin (Kristana) Stuart, daughter; Blair (James Brisson) Stuart, step-sons; Colby Stanton and Dylan (Sarah) Stanton, granddaughter; Ahnysti Stuart, and grandsons; Asher Stanton and Daxton Stanton, father, Clyde (Libby) Stuart; sister, Cindy Gilliam; his brother, Terry (Margaret) Stuart; nieces Noelle (Jason) Ziegler, Emmeline Stuart, and Maggie Beth Stuart; and nephew Christian Gilliam.
