It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Kovsky Sherwood, born on January 31, 1943, in Ducktown, Tennessee, to Steve and Naomi Kovsky. Linda departed this world peacefully on June 21, 2025, at her home in McCaysville, Georgia, at the age of 82. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a sense of community that touched the lives of everyone she met.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Steve and Naomi Kovsky, her sons Jeff Bruce and Eric Bruce
She was a devoted member of the McCaysville Church of God, where her unwavering faith in the Lord shone brightly. Her infectious smile, warm heart, and caring spirit endeared her to many, as she made deep connections throughout her life. She was known for her love of people, often bringing joy and compassion into the lives of those around her.
Linda cherished her family, including her sister, Joan Kovsky, and brother, Steven Kovsky. She was also a proud grandmother to Steve (Mirah) Bruce and an adoring great-grandmother to Blayne, Maxon, Rilee, and Rachel Bruce.
Linda dedicated her career to assembly work in the medical industry with HealthDyne Technologies. Her work ethic and commitment were evident to all who had the pleasure to know her.
Linda's love for her cats was just one of the many ways she expressed her nurturing nature. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives she enriched.
In reverence of her life, a funeral service will be held at the McCaysville Church of God on June 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a burial service at Crestlawn Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Prior to the service, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Homes & Crematories McCaysville Chapel on June 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
