Kirk John Barker, age 66, of Morganton, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Atlanta, GA. Kirk was born May 22, 1959, in Fort Benning, GA to John Kenneth and Janice Barker.
Kirk was preceded in death by his father, John Kenneth Barker.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Barker; mother, Janice Barker; and sister, Tammy (George) Morgan.
Graveside Service, on Friday August 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM from Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating. Music provided by Barry Abernathy, Greg Brooks, Darrell Webb, Brian Hooper, Robby Mathis, and James Jones.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Mark Burger, Brian Hooper, Barry Abernathy, Darryl Shook, Robby Mathis, Wes Kimsey, Jim Callihan and Chris Nelson.
Honorary pallbearers: Greg Brooks, Perry Suits, Scott Barker, Ronnie Kimsey, Jim Ritchie, and Crews Chastain.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery in Blairsville, GA.
The family will receive friends at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Homes & Crematories McCaysville Chapel on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
