Mr. David William Suit, age 79, a resident of Auburndale went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Lake Mariam Health in Winter Haven. Mr. Suit was born January 5, 1945, in Geneva, New York to Ross Frisbie and Wilhelmine (Brunt) Suit. He was an Auburndale resident since 1945 coming from New York. He graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1964, volunteered for Auburndale High School Imperial Sound & Video for over 40 years. He received the lifetime Band Achievement Award. He retired June 30, 2005, from Food Machinery Company in Lakeland now John Bean Technology as a Juice Machine Manufacturer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburndale where he volunteered with (Wednesday afterschool van transportation, pumpkin patch, the audio and soundboard). David sang in the church choir and played the hand bells. He also volunteered for the Boy Scouts, Auburndale Little League and was a North Carolina volunteer for Camp LeJune. He was United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. David enjoyed going to the beach, collecting shells and going out to eat. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers – Ross F. Suit, Jr. & Arthur Suit. David is survived by; nephew – Ross Suit; niece – Tamara Suit (Scott) Goodman; companion of 25 years – Jean Ann Lord Shiver; extended family – Rick & Christina Collins, Jon & Caitlin Felton, Eric Jon Shiver and many church family & friends. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, September 14th at First United Methodist Church, 316 Lake Ariana Blvd., Auburndale, with visitation beginning at 10. Interment with military honors will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
