DAVID A. SYLVESTER age 54, beloved husband for 26 years of Annette (nee Surella); loving father of Kyle and Garrett; cherished son of Francine Coleman (nee Hoffer) (husband John) and the late James J. Sylvester; dearest brother of Michael and Karen Hurguy (husband Jim); devoted son-in-law of Nancy Niedzwiecki (nee Tomaselli) and the late Robert Surella; treasured brother-in-law of Maryrose Sylvester and Robert & Connie Surella; dear nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and beloved friend of so many.

David was born on April 19, 1970 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated in 1988 from Mayfield High School, and received his associates degree from Lakeland, his bachelor's degree from Kent State University and his master’s degree from Capella University. Aurora became his city of residence, where he served on the Civil Service Commission. When he wasn’t working at Rexel USA as their Product Manager, he led a busy life centered around his family and sports. David was involved in the Aurora Baseball League, and active as a OHSAA basketball referee and baseball umpire. He enjoyed playing softball and golfing with friends and trying his luck at the casinos. As an avid sports fan, he could always be found cheering on the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavs and University of Michigan sports teams. David was known for being social, funny, sometimes sarcastic, genuine and generous. When he was with you, you were the most important person in the room. This devoted husband and father, who centered his world around family, passed away on June 25, 2024. Leaving this world much too early, David will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
