In Loving Memory of David Debuo Tantuo
October 3, 1963 - May 26, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David DebuoTantuo, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at the age of 63.
David was born in Nandom, Ghana, to Benawrkon Dzang and Baaro Tantuo. The youngest of four brothers, he stood out early on for his dedication to education and intellectual curiosity. His passion led him to pursue studies in mechanical engineering in Belarus. While in Minsk, Belarus, David met the love of his life, Tatiana. The two were married on June 20, 1990, and celebrated 34 years of unwavering love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful life, eventually settling in the United States where they raised three sons: Kevin {32}, Philip {30}, and Nicholas {28}.
David was a devoted and proud father who never missed an opportunity to support his sons and, later, his grandchildren in their education and extracurricular pursuits. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Tahiry {11} and Sohnoa {3}, and he found immense joy in spending quality time with his family.
A man of deep faith, David was a devoted Catholic and member of Notre Dame Church. He was truly a generous soul with a heart for helping others - especially those seeking to pursue education, a cause close to his heart. David's professional life reflected his passion as well; he started his career in the USA as a professor in New Jersey, where he inspired countless students with his knowledge, warmth, and wisdom. Afterwards his intellectual curiosity and passion for constant improvement lead him to pursue a long and rewarding career as a decorated software engineer. He worked tirelessly to master his craft in software development over many years, in which he was initially self taught and thrived in today's rapidly evolving field of information technology.
David's radiant smile and infectious laugh left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He maintained friendships across the globe, and his home was always open to visitors from near and far. He is survived by his loving wife Tatiana, his sons Kevin, Philip, and Nicholas, his two treasured grandchildren Tahiry and Sohnoa, and a wide network of extended family and dear friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
David's legacy of kindness, dedication to family, and commitment to learning will live on in all those who were blessed to know him.
